Description |
Carved wood mask of a human face with openings for eyes and mouth. The front is covered in polychromatic glass seed beads embedded in beeswax in geometric patterns and mythological figures. The basic pattern is symmetrical, though not all the details are. On each cheek there is a blue figure with orange antlers. The sides and back are not decorated. Made in Neyarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico |
