A small painting depicting a dog swimming in a lake. Painted from a photograph taken by Skeet McAuley (2015.01.02). Artist Patrick Faulhaber paints everyday scenes set in urban and rural landscapes usually caturing the "transitional moment" at twilight or dusk. The intimate size of his realistic paintings force the viewer to step in close to the work to examine the meticulously detailed paintings which are often mistaken for color photographs, even close up. |
