Description |
Collage of different colored leaf or feather like shapes as well as some pieces of newspaper or printed text. Lance Letscher (1962), a collage artist now printmaker, Letscher creates spacial fields full of energized color with lines and shapes. His interest in cosmic energy, mechanical things underlie the abstracted spaces he creates with drypoint and etching. Letscher attended the University of Texas where he received both his Bachelor of Fine Arts and his Master of Fine Arts. For nearly 11 years, Letscher worked for artist Amado Pena as a printmaker – creating multi-plate color etchings, monotypes, and lithographs. His work is held in public and private collections around the country and has been reviewed in Art in America, The New York Observer, and Harper’s Magazine, among other publications. |
