Description |
Edition 136/150 Jack Brusca (1939-1993) was an American contemporary painter and printmaker who was well known for his use of airbrush techniques in acrylic paint. His work often plays off of natural objects displayed in theatrical ways. Images of flowers, numbers, letters, and human figures are constantly show throughout his work. Brusca portrays light across dimensions and color blends to give his work the illusion of being three dimensional. This print is green, yellow, and purple in nature. Two curved shapes sit on a purple background with their curved sides facing inward. Black coloring is brushed along the two shape's top and bottom to give the illusion of light being reflected. A bigger curved shape sits behind a smaller curved shape while two numbers sit descending in front of the forms. A big green two is between the smaller curved form and a smaller yellow tinted two. Both numbers are done in the same style and lack any shading. A tiny white signature is present on the lower right section of the print as well as a tiny white colored edition number across from the signature. |
