Description |
This photo is from the portfolio New California Views. Steve Fitch (1949-Present) is an American photographer, visual artist, and author. Fitch's artwork highlights the various roadside attractions of American highways and landmarks. His pieces often reference the spectaculars seen on road trips such as motel signs, truck-stop waitresses, and big tuck rigs. This photo shows the back of a railroad sign during the night. The white pole is stuck in the middle of a dark green, grassy field near a railroad track. The sky is a vibrant blue which brings out the bright red of the railroad sign's light. On the right side of the photo, a bright white light is gleaming next to the sign and concealing most of the right side of the photo from view. The photo is blurry and in motion with overlapping frames, causing the light to bounce and move within the picture plane. |
