Description |
Block print on paper of Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. Artist Lorita Giles was a leading block printer in San Antonio during the 1940s and was touted as one of the foremost talents in Texas printmaking by artist Jerry Bywaters. Giles' printmaking decreased dramatically after her husband lost is job resulting in the couple having to move away from San Antonio and Giles lost the use of the studio available to her. |
